Heartbroken

I posted about Travis just a couple of weeks ago and his sudden turn in health. This brave boy held on, fought hard, and lived life to the fullest up until the very end. Last night, the greyhound community lost one of our greatest ambassadors. Travis, along with his partner/mom Jen, inspired many greyhounds and their owners, to try things that a "retired racer" shouldn't be able to do. Hug your hounds today.

Jen, I am so sorry about Travis. I didn't get a chance to meet him, and I hate that I've missed one of the greatest greyhounds that ever lived. Everyone at the Hiley house is thinking about you and hoping the hurt stops soon.

I saw Travis a few hours before he passed :-( it was time to let him go...Travis was such an active soul that it wasn't right to make him stay here just to lay on a bed... as always Jen knew best.

Everyone, thank you so much. The support has been tremendous. I'm so glad I was able to share him with everyone on my blog and website.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure that losing a grey in Australia feels the same as losing a grey in the USA - it is just awful and so sad.
